Welcome to HSA for America. Congratulations on finding a better way to stay informed about your health insurance options, and how to manage your own insurance coverage and budget to suit your specific needs.
My name is Mark Rigdon and I’ve been an HSA for America Advisor for the last two years. My role here is to listen to your needs in the way of health insurance, taking into account things like your budget, your family or small business, and present you with options tailored to your situation. I will not only answer any questions about the services and options, but will do all that I can to assist with the paperwork and get you through the process.
I especially enjoy working with individuals and small business owners since I am one myself. I periodically speak about (Health Savings Account) HSAs to civic organizations like the Lions Club and answer questions by email in a forum I set up online. In addition, I am licensed and work with clients in 15 states so I have a broad range of experience with people and circumstances across the spectrum. After all, Missouri and California are almost like two different planets!.
In my career, I have worked in many different professions, but have been a small business owner since college. I became an HSA for America Advisor because I was looking for a way to have more work-life balance. Being newly married to my wife Claire, I wanted to continue my work with small businesses, be able to work from home, and help everyone receive the best options regarding their health insurance.

For hobbies,
I practice martial arts and read voraciously, especially science fiction,
time management and self-improvement books. We are big animal advocates
and actively participate in rescuing abused Rottweilers. Right now
we have six loveable dogs and two cats! Claire and I go camping most weekends,
love movies and have even been known to bring the laptop on our camping
trips so we can watch a movie in our tent at night.
I
find that many people stay with one insurance company for years without
paying much attention to the costs, and one day realize their bill has increased
by hundreds of dollars a month. Having your own HSA can solve that
problem, and gives you options and information to help you make the best
decisions for you. As a small business owner, I have educated myself
about Health Reimbursement Arrangements and other tax benefits offered to
small businesses in an effort to help you get the best health insurance
for your business, and the best price. My commitment is to help you
do the same!
If
an individual loses their job and has a pre-existing condition, it’s
may be very hard to get another policy with reasonable rates. With
the soaring health insurance costs, it becomes difficult to maintain good
coverage and keep a small business going. HSAs allow people and businesses
to make their own choices, have options and flexibility, and to be better
prepared for the effects of outside elements, such as the economy.
